I am a sucker for all things stationary. I love funky-colored pens, blank notebooks, and things written in my own handwriting. This is why I insist on not only using an online calendar for all of life's activities, but also a daily planner.

Last year, I found the Colorvale Photographer's Planner and I fell in love. I loved that it had everything I needed to keep me accountable and my business on track. That's why this year I decided to get the newest version of the same planner! Stacie (the creator of the planner) makes improvements every year that further the helpfulness of this already amazing organizational tool.

For starters, this stylish planner comes in this heavy-duty case - perfect for protecting it from the elements of my bag (like open pens, crumbs, and sticky three-year-old fingers).

And then you open the box...Gorgeous! The stripes give it a Kate Spade feel and then there's the gold accents. Everyone knows I love gold. I mean, who couldn't? It's so shiny!

Right from the first page, this planner has you thinking about the intentions for your business. The front cover has a pocket that is perfect for holding business cards, contracts, or other little odds and ends you may need. The very first page asks you to set your intentions for the year. I have my goals for 2016 written down in a notebook, but it's a totally different experience to have it right there to smack you in the face every time you open this baby. I just know it's going to keep me focused on my business and my brand because it will keep bringing me back to my core purpose throughout the months of the year.

The next few pages feature months at a glance where I can see all on one page how many events I have scheduled, notes, workshops I'll be attending, and more. There's also several pages to record client inquiries, client info, and social media goals. Yes, in case you didn't already know it, businesses have to plan out what their goals for posting on social media are - it's not as easy-breezy as some might think it is!

Each month has it's own tab and features a page for objectives vs actuals, daily responsibilities, monthly goals, a daily calendar, a client workflow chart, social media growth tracking, space for keeping track of ideas, location scouting, blogging, income tracking, and so much more!

It's actually quite overwhelming to get started with a beast like this one! For starters, I bought erasable pens so that I wouldn't mess it up. But more than that, it means putting the ideas, goals, and plans for your business in writing and sticking to it.

Thank you, Stacie, for creating such an amazing tool for us photographers so that we can keep it all together and do it stylishly!

My son Hayden loves it too - although he just wants to put stickers on it. Not a chance, kid!
