Feeling at Home at Magnolia Market
It always starts off so innocently enough: I'm just going to sit down and watch a little DIY home renovations on HGTV. I find that Fixer Upper is on and BOOM I get sucked in and I'm binge watching their show until I have a laundry list of things I want to fix around my house. Has this ever happened to you? Part of the draw of the show is the sweet couple who the show is based around - Chip and Joanna Gaines. The show is based out of Waco, TX (Sic 'em, Bears!) and the sweet gentle spirit of Joanna draws you in while the goofy humor of Chip keeps you coming back for more. Plus - their designs are personal, heartfelt, and show stoppingly gorgeous.
Anyone who watches the show knows about the Silos, or rather, Magnolia Market, where the couple has a store that sells many of the design elements they use. While on my recent trip to Dallas, I found myself wandering a little out of my way on the drive home so I could get a peek at the Silos.
This place is SUPER family friendly! Not only do they have decor for your home, but they also have a garden, play area for the kids (and husbands), and food trucks! However, you won't find a photo of a food truck here because I was too busy chowing down on my gourmet grilled cheese from Cheddar Box (I got their "Guac This Way" that had pulled pork and guacamole in it. Yum!).
The only thing they're missing is a bakery with something to cure your sweet tooth and they have one under construction right now!
So the next you're driving through Texas, make sure to stop at Magnolia Market. You won't be disappointed!
